Goals

A little bit everyday

The little stuff adds up overtime.

You workout today, you won’t see much difference physically.

You workout today, tomorrow, and everyday for a year, you’ll see and feel the difference.

You read 10 pages today, you won’t see much difference mentally and emotionally.

You read today, tomorrow, and everyday for a year, you’ll see and feel the difference.

It’s very much choosing our path in life.

If we decide to do the little things today to get to our goals, we’ll get there overtime.

If we don’t decide to do the little things today to get to our goals, we’ll never get there.

If you do, you will.

If you don’t, you will never.

This blog reminds me of what you eat adds up.

Happy December my loves! Let’s keep rocking on our goals.

Healthy Habits

It’s easy to be hard & hard to be easy

Easy choices make life hard and hard choices make life easy.

Choosing the easy

We can absolutely choose to lay in bed all day.

We can choose to do the bare minimum and just get by.

We can chose to do the easy stuff.

These are all legit choices and they are made everyday by people just like you and I.

Ever meet someone who refuses to eat healthy? No matter what, they always go for the junk food. “But junk food is EASY. I can just grab and go and get filled up from it.”

The downside to this easy choice are the side effects to eating junk food everyday for a long period of time. And these side effects make life hard.

This easy choice could and most likely will affect your health, self-confidence, relationships, communication, and even commitment negatively.

By choosing the easy day after day: eating unhealthy junk food, life becomes harder in every aspect.

Choosing the hard

We can also choose to get out of bed when the alarm goes off.

We can choose to do our best and make our dreams a reality.

We can choose to do the hard stuff.

These are also legit choices and they are made everyday by people like you and I.

Ever see a real happy person, like they’re happy all the time? And maybe ya think: “Man it must be so nice to be that happy. They don’t even have to try, they’re always just THAT happy.”

Effortless happiness is a myth. It takes HARD work to be happy. It takes constant awareness: reframing negative thoughts, finding gratitude, replenishing energy, sharing good vibes with others.

The upside to this hard choice are the side effects to being happy everyday for a long period of time. And these side effects make life easy.

This hard choice could and most likely will affect your health, self-confidence, relationships, communication, and even commitment positively.

By choosing the hard day after day: to really work on being happy, life becomes easier in every aspect.

Wrapping Up

There’s an easy choice and a hard choice for every situation.

The easy choice now leads to a harder tomorrow.

The hard choice now leads to an easier tomorrow.

Let’s start to ask ourselves in as many moments as we can remember: “What’s the hard choice here that will get me to my goals? Make me happier, healthier, more fulfilled?”

It’s easy to be heavy and hard to be light.

Movement

Have a bike? Ride to get fresh groceries

What’s a FUN, health conscious thing you could do today? Ride your bike to get fresh groceries 🙂

I’m blessed to have a grocery store and produce shop right down the road…

And I can use my bike to get there!

Exercise, sunshine, snacks, nooo car needed.

If you do have a bike at home, are you taking advantage of it or letting a great way to work your heart and mind slip through the cracks?

PS – omg y’all! This is my 100th post on the blog😭 my 2022 personal goal was to post 100 healthy living blogs and weee got it done!

My writing consistency was looking a little rocky in the beginning of the year (weekly/biweekly blogs) but with picking up the daily snippet goal recently – I’ve accomplished my goal well ahead of schedule.

Always and forever grateful. Feeling blessed. Appreciating the good times. Learning and adjusting along the way. Working on doing what I said I’ll do.

Stay blessed my friends!

Ask more questions

Feeling stuck? Asking more questions can help give us clarity.

What do you see for your life?

Who do you want to be?

Who and what do you need to surround yourself with?

What kind of energy do you want in your circle?

Are you going with what others want?

Are you living for other people, trying to please their expectations?

Are you challenging the “norm” and doing things differently?

Are you asking questions, trying to make the best life for yourself?

General, Healthy Habits

Easy to do, easy not to do

Brushing our teeth.

Taking a shower.

Eating the right foods.

Drinking enough water.

Exercising.

Reaching out to friends and family.

Giving thanks.

Breathing deeply.

Reading a few pages.

Documenting.

Saying yes to things that bring us joy.

Saying no to things that drain our energy.

These things like many others are easy to do, and easy not to do.

Day after day, we have the choice: to do or not to do.

And what we decide creates our life.

Goals

Spend time in nature

Hi all! I’m writing to you from a tree hammock that I set up in Pennypack 🙂

I just finished up doing my daily mile – today was hiking hills!

The park is so refreshing with all the plants and animals, the fresh air is unmatched.

I always leave feeling happy and inspired.

Whether it’s a hike in the park, doing some gardening, taking a walk around the block, deep breathing…

Spend time in your inner world. Nature.

Goals

Find your sacred spot

It could be a little nook in the corner of the house, your bedroom, a writing desk, where ever you feel relaxed and inspired.

Fill your space with things that bring you joy…

Plants, pillows, a candle, blanket maybe, some good books, incense, a journal.

Use your sacred space to set morning intentions, as a retreat to decompress, when you need a lift in spirits, when you want to ponder or create.

Play some Classical Relaxation or Native American Flute on Pandora to set the mood…

And enjoy this sacred place you created for yourself.

Healthy Habits

Make time to be creative

When was the last time you created?

Building something out of nothing.

Finding a solution to a problem.

Doing art, organizing, writing, thinking.

Are you living day to day neglecting your creative muscle?

Or are you making the time to ponder and build?
