We become the sum of our actions

In Bad Times

When the bad times come, we can choose to practice healthy habits.

Healthy habits serve as a saftey net when we fall hard emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically.

Lose someone close to you? We can choose to go on a long hike to heal.

Weak and frail? We can choose to go to the gym everyday to get stronger.

Healthy habits give us something to focus on that is good, not only for us, but for those around us too.

Hard choices, easy life my friends.

Easy to be hard, hard to be easy

It’s easy to binge drink after losing a loved one, or stay inactive when you are feeling unhealthy. Yet overtime, these habits will result in a hard life of heartbreak and poor health.

It’s hard to get yourself up to take a hike when you’re feeling such heartbreak, or go to the gym everyday when you can barely lift yourself off the couch. Yet overtime, these habits will result in an easy life of love and good health.

Here’s more on it’s easy to be hard, and hard to be easy.

In Good Times

When the good times come, we can choose to build healthy habits.

We do this in anticipation for the bad times when they come.

We are looking to fill our life toolbox with solid habits and strategies that will help us when we are met with hardships in the future.

I’ve been building out my own life toolbox here: CC’s Healthy Handbook.

Wrapping Up

If we can practice healthy habits when things are good…

We’ll be more mentally prepared to survive, even thrive, during hardships.

We do indeed become the sum of our actions, in bad times and in good.
