I see my elder self in Thailand with the monks, speaking with travelers, enjoying my days with Joey in nature.
It’s a far out future, one decades from now. But it got me thinking, what does that mean for me now?
I thought:
You don’t become the monk later. You ARE the monk now.
So I made a list:
- Joey = the traveler I’m sharing wisdom with daily
- Champ = my animal companion on the path
- My home = the temple (my peaceful sanctuary)
- Focused work = serving, training, creating, real estate
- The practice = presence, reflection, encouraging others
I’m not waiting for Thailand. I’m training for Thailand right now.
The monk’s daily practice:
- Wake: SAVERS routine, solfeggio frequencies (morning ritual)
- Move: Running, training (embodiment, discipline)
- Work: Serving with presence (practice being fully in the moment)
- Create: Art, writing, gardening, recipes (authentic connection)
- Reflect: Journaling, decompressing, stillness (non-negotiable)
- Connect: Family, animals, community (deep presence)
- Rest: Honoring the temple (body, home, peace)
Every moment is practice. Every practice serves the path.
