Embracing Intentional Living in Spirituality

In spirituality, being intentional means living with conscious awareness and directing your energy, thoughts, and actions toward a specific sacred purpose rather than moving through life on autopilot.

I just added a spiritualty row to my life map and intentional is what I choose for the ‘who I have to be column’ – really loving this!

current Life Map as of 5/27/26

Core Pillars on Intentional Living

Conscious Presence: From mindless habits to actively aware

Chosen Meaning: Assigning sacred significance to everyday routines

Energy Alignment: Matching daily behaviors with inner soul values

How It Looks in Practice

Ritual vs. Routine: Transforming a coffee into a gratitude ritual

Mindful Communication: Choosing words that heal rather than reactively venting (wow this one is eye opening!)

Sacred Boundaries: Saying no to things that drain your spiritual peace

Focused Meditation: Sitting with a specific goal, like forgiveness

My Life Map for Spirituality

Yearly Goal: Personal Inventory

Monthly Goal: Soul Audit
What do I actually believe right now? What am I avoiding? Where am I out of alignment with my values? What needs to be released? What am I most grateful for at a soul level?

Weekly Goal: Frequency Tones
listen to frequency tones radio for a one hour minimum meditation as a form of sound therapy

Daily Goal: Sit in Silence

Transform Your Day in 30 Seconds: The Lucky Lemon Cleanse

A simple ritual that has the power to turn your day around.

What You Need

  • 1 fresh lemon
  • positive intentions
  • 30 seconds

The Ritual

  1. Cut a fresh lemon in half
  2. Rub it on your wrists like perfume
  3. As you do, set clear intentions: money, health, happiness etc
  4. Let it dry naturally
  5. Go about your day

Why It Works

Citrus has been used for centuries to cleanse energy and attract abundance. The scent alone is energizing. But the real power? Taking a moment to consciously set positive intentions.

Recently shared this with my coworkers before our serving shift. We all did it together – rubbed lemon on our wrists, set our intentions out loud. Money. Good tables. Easy night.

Energy was high from then on out and the shift completely turned around. Tables were smooth. Everyone made money. Something good happened (like finding the last pack of crackers) – we’d shout: “Lucky Lemon Cleanse!”

The Real Magic

Maybe it’s the lemon. Maybe it’s the collective intention. Maybe it’s choosing to start with purpose instead of stress. Try it before your next shift, meeting, or challenging day and see what happens!

A Personal Note:

I love when simple things create powerful shifts. That night, watching my coworkers try something new with me, feeling the energy change in real-time – that’s the kind of moment that reminds me why I do this work. We spend so much time looking for complicated solutions. Sometimes it’s just a lemon and 30 seconds of intentional thought.

How to Transform Fear Into Love Today (like an Alchemist)

When the world feels heavy and your heart aches, remember this… you have the power of spiritual alchemy within you

Just as ancient alchemists transformed lead into gold… you can transform fear into love, trauma into wisdom, and pain into compassion.

Love is always stronger than fear, and we’re all connected in this cosmic journey together.

As Paulo Coelho reminds us in The Alchemist, “when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it”—and what we truly want is healing and connection

Turning Fear into Love

The Circle of Light Practice harnesses the universe’s healing energy to transform pain into compassion. This ancient wisdom reminds us that every challenge is an opportunity to spread more love into the world.

Be gentle with yourself in this process.

The Circle of Light Practice:

1. Ground yourself in Mother Earth’s energy: touch grass or hold a stone

2. Send loving-kindness to yourself: “may I be peaceful, may I be safe”

3. Extend that love to those hurting: visualize light surrounding them

4. Connect with real people: call a friend, hug someone, send love via text

This works because trauma separates us (judging mode) while love reconnects us (healing mode)

When we choose love over fear, we become channels of healing for the whole world. Every act of compassion creates a positive ripple that touches countless souls.

Start small today:

Practice the loving-kindness meditation (“may I be peaceful, may I be safe”) for one minute or call someone you love to check-in

You are not alone, sweet soul. We’re all walking each other home

Managing Ego: Finding Balance for Self-Esteem and Achievement

It takes a certain level of awareness to stop making excuses and letting our actions make or break our ego.

And we can get to that level of awareness by doing some inner work.

Let’s get started!

Excuses

An excuse is an attempt to lessen the blame, defend, or justify a fault or offense.

Ever try to talk to someone about an issue and all they do is list the “reasons why” said thing happened the way it did. One big story time.

When really all you want is for them to just acknowledge their mistake and promise to do and be better.

That being said, we don’t gotta explain why something happened the way it did, because the details make no difference.

Take responsibility quickly and quietly. If you messed up, own it and promise to work hard to improve.

Things don’t have to be in perfect alignment for us to take small steps to be a better person. We can start with where we are today. What can we do right now?

“I start from where the world is, as it is, not as I would like it to be.”

– Saul Alinsky

Ego

An ego is a person’s sense of self-esteem or self-importance.

When we do or don’t do something, it’s easy to let that affect how we feel about ourselves.

Maybe you accomplished something big – does that make you feel better than others?

Maybe you said you’d do something and didn’t – does that make you feel shitty about yourself?

We don’t wanna get too high or too low. Whatever happens, let’s allow it to be a small thing. Good and bad.

“Be satisfied with even the smallest step forward and regard the outcome as a small thing.”

– Marcus Aurelius
