What I Love Checklist

Undesired states of mind like worry, fear, anxiety, anger, depression…

Come from being too consumed in the past or future.

You may be thinking of all that you have to do tomorrow.

Future thinking = worry / fear / anxiety

Or you may be consumed with guilt or regret about a past situation.

Past thinking = anger / depression

Do not judge when your mind starts to wonder…

Or when you start feeling these negative emotions.

Simply become aware that you are feeling the way you are…

Make a mental note to reflect on it later…

And work through your WHAT I LOVE CHECKLIST to get your joy back 🙂

General

Making Mistakes

Mistakes are only mistakes if we do not learn and change because of them.

The true mistake would be holding onto our mistake…

Dwelling on the past of how things could have gone differently.

Here’s a little 3-step system on using mistakes as a stepping stone to success:

  1. Find the lesson in the mistake: what is the universe trying to teach you right now?

For example, if I am rushing around trying to get out the door and accidently drop a glass cup. Of course I’m immediately frustrated because I’m already late as it is, but I take a deep breath and laugh a little. “Yes I know I’m rushing around and need to slow down.” That’s the lesson: slow down, move at God’s speed, be in the moment, relax your nerves, getting worked up won’t make you un-late, don’t put yourself or others at harm because you are allowing your nerves to take over.

  2. Commit to making a change: in both thinking and behavior

Going with the above example- once I find my lesson, which I shortly define as “move at God’s speed,” I immediately commit to making the change in my thinking and behavior. I clean up the broken glass with ease, breathing and working consciously to relax my nerves. I am feeling much more laid back and get to feeling that I will get there when I get there. I get to my destination 10 minutes later than I was scheduled to, however the person I was meeting was running even later than I was. Wow! Good thing I didn’t allow myself to stay worked up lol. Stories like this have definitely happened to me in real life, anyone else?!

  3. Give thanks: thank the universe for the lesson it has brought you ♡
Healthy Habits

Practice patience

By practicing patience, we allow our nerves to relax, our minds to clear, and our lives unfold in a much calmer and natural way.

How can we practice patience?

We can practice patience by taking 5 deep belly breaths.

When can we practice patience?

  • If realize you are rushing around
  • If you catch yourself wanting to speed up a life situation or just life in general
  • If you find yourself wishing you were somewhere different
  • If you notice that you’re longing for different things / a different life

Taking a breather and slowing it down when our minds want to go go go.

Another easy to do, easy not to do thing.

Stay patient my friends and stay blessedđź’š

Goals

What does it mean to know yourself?

In the left hand, we have love and peace.

In the right hand, we have pain and hurt.

Both sides are within us.

To know yourself is to know that the feelings of pain and hurt are within you as well as the feelings of love and peace.

To know yourself is to no longer get surprised when feelings of anger or sadness come up…

They’re actually expected to surface now and then, in fact anticipated.

To know yourself is to know how to attract positive energy back into your life when you are experiencing negative thoughts and feelings.

When you feel anger boil up – maybe someone’s driving slow on the road for example – are we letting the feeling of anger take over? Or are we taking a breather and letting it go?

Simply knowing both the pain and the peace are within you may give you a sense of relief.

You’re no longer fighting against the current…

You’re flowing with the tide.

Healthy Habits

Ask more questions

Feeling stuck? Asking more questions can help give us clarity.

What do you see for your life?

Who do you want to be?

Who and what do you need to surround yourself with?

What kind of energy do you want in your circle?

Are you going with what others want?

Are you living for other people, trying to please their expectations?

Are you challenging the “norm” and doing things differently?

Are you asking questions, trying to make the best life for yourself?
